If you don’t have friends added to your friends list, being a part of any social networking site is somewhat absurd. You can be average or you can be a FaceBook superstar. Obviously, since you are using FaceBook for the purpose of marketing your mlm home business opportunity, it just makes sense to choose to be a superstar. You can achieve that status in as little as 30 days, but it does take a significant time commitment on your part. But that shouldn’t be an issue because you want to be successful right?

First you should notice that if you have fewer than 200 friends on FaceBook, this isn’t a bad thing. In fact, it’s an average thing. However, again, you want superstar status, so this won’t be good enough for you.

Once you have 500 friends, you are considered to be popular, and people will gravitate to you, and when you have between 800 and 1000 friends, you’re essentially a FaceBook celebrity. Eventually, that’s what you should be working towards, but for now, let’s concentrate on becoming popular, with 500 friends.

Resist the temptation to use automated software that adds friends to your FaceBook friends list. This defeats the purpose of social networking. Instead we recommend doing it the old fashioned way, which may seem more difficult. You will recognize that the old fashioned way really isn’t that difficult at all.

The first thing to do is to join all of the Home Business groups that you can find. There are plenty of them on FaceBook. Every Last time you join a group, send a friend request to every last member of that group.

There’s no doubt that not all members will accept your request, but the bulk of them will. This can be a little time consuming, but it’s well worth doing it. This should easily net you 200 to 300 friends. Try to add at least 30 new friends each day, for the full 30 days. It’s a sound idea to add friends regularly instead of trying to get 1,000 FaceBook friends in 4 days!

Once you’ve exhausted the home business groups, find other groups that are related to your business.

Use your existing website to get more friends, as well as your blog. Post your FaceBook badge on your website and blog. Make a blog post and invite your readers to add you as a friend on Facebook. If you Twitter, tell your followers to add you on FaceBook. If you have a mailing list, send out a note and invite them to join you on FaceBook.

Again, it does take a concentrated effort on your part, but it is well worth it in the end, and if you are dedicated, you absolutely will have more than 500 friends in less than 30 days, and if you want that superstar celebrity status at FaceBook, you can continue to add new friends for an additional 30 days to reach that goal.

FaceBook is a great tool to grow your multilevel network marketing business opportunity.

Make sure you remain consistent and develop long term relationships with your FaceBook friends!

3. Use Pictures!

I can’t begin to tell you how much adding pictures will add to your blog. Breaking up your text with pictures will make people want to read more and more and the more personal the pics can be the better. So if you’re talking about your trip to Montreal with the family don’t just use a stock photo, use one of you and your family! Another tip is to make sure and keyword optimize the titles of your pictures before you post them as well!

That’s just 3 uncomplicated points that will help your blog become more successful in Google and all the other search engines. Make sure you write a new blog post at least once or twice a week and follow these simple and easy blogging tips and you’ll make progress that will help you build a bigger and better network marketing business opportunity!

Rejection, nobody likes it, but if you’re going to be involved in a legitimate work from home business you better get used to it!

It doesn’t matter how good you are, people are going to reject your opportunity and some will blatantly reject you. If you want to succeed in any work at home business, you better learn to live with rejection.

Your prospects need to learn to trust you, and some of them just won’t take the time to learn to trust you. That’s just the way it is and we’re not going to change people.

Trust is earned when your prospects see you as a real person, not some stiff robot that tosses a bunch of stuff on the internet. People need to know that you scrambled just like they may have struggled in a home business. Of course you need to tell the truth, so if you didn’t struggle don’t act like you did!

We don’t mind sharing people that we were struggling horribly, facing bankrutcy and foreclosure, before we ever became successful in our home based business. We tried and failed at many home based businesses. That’s not something you tend to make up!

People are more likely to connect with you when you write to them in a conversational tenor. You should write your blog posts, your emails and everything else your prospects will read in a way that feels personal.

No matter how many people you write to, only one person is reading your email or blog post at a time so it’s important that it “sounds” like you’re writing to that one person. Your prospects are less likely to reject you if they feel like you understand them and care about them.

That doesn’t mean that you become wimpy in your writing. Try to please everyone and you will end up pleasing nobody. Let me give you a recent example.

A prospect called me and said he wanted to become successful working from home. But then he went on to say that he wasn;t going to do this and he wasn’t going to do that. He admitted that he had never been successful in any home business.

It’s a rookie mistake to try to please every single prospect just so they will like you and join your business, but this guy has no chance at becoming successful with his attitude. I politely told him that I couldn’t work with him unless he was willing to do the very things he said he wasn’t going to do.

To make a long story very short he wasn’t happy with what I had to say and I ended the conversation promptly. This guy wants to become successful but he isn’t willing to do what successful people do.

I’m not trying to win a popularity contest and you shouldn’t be either. I’m trying to help people change their lives forever, and that’s more important than trying to win a popularity contest.

Your #1 goal is to establish a relationship with like-minded people who seek counsel on the way to their goals. Your job is to help them get to wherever they want to go. All prospects really care about is where they want to go and if you can help them get there.

You won’t find success in any internet home business opportunity until you focus on your prospects and what they want in their life!

Before we go any further let me say that is not an old blog post! The facts are simply the facts, and although there are more women than ever who are working, the man still typically brings home the bacon. So don’t get mad before we even get started!

After you fill out the form and get signed up you will want to get people to begin following you. We recommend you tweet 5 or 10 times before you start trying to get people to follow you so when you try to get followers they see that you are already active. If nobody is following you then the tweets are pointless so your goal is to get as many followers as possible.

It’s also a great idea to fill out your Twitter profile and add your picture. People can’t relate to you if you don’t give them some information about you. You will establish followers much more quickly with a picture and a filled out profile.

A good way to get started building Twitter followers is to begin by following lots of other people. In most cases if you follow someone they will follow you back and this builds a pretty good list in the beginning.

The only thing to do after that is to continue to grow your list every day and of course to add more tweets! Twitter has become so popular because once you start doing it you’ll find it to be extremely addictive and fun. By posting things about your multi-level marketing business, your new blog or a link to your newest YouTube video, you’ll also be gaining prospects!

Google Adwords sounds great, and it is great, if you know what you’re doing! During my first attempt at Google Adwords many years ago I spent $5,000 in less than a month with no retunr on my investment! Yikes that hurt… but the reason I failed was simple, I didn’t know what I was doing.

Google Adwords works and there are many people who have made a fortune with PPC but it’s best to learn how to do it properly before wasting a lot of money like I did. When it comes to marketing within social communities, you need to take a different approach than that of traditional marketing. You cannot be the bull in the china closet and succeed! Let me give you an example… There’s a guy on Facebook that hammers away at you with several posts every single day on the latest and greatest thing in his work from home internet business. This person literally drives me crazy because he is causing people to hate home based network marketing opportunities and those of us who are in them!

Let’s say you were going to a party at a friends house. You’re enjoying the party with a few friends, and this guy that you’e never seen before busts in to the conversation and starts shooting his mouth off to everybody just how great his multi level marketing business is.

Would you want to hear more about this super-duper business or would you look for a way to slink away from this conversation and talk to somebody else? You cannot scream at people about your great business. It turns people off.

People on social networks are, for the most part, buyers, not sellers and you need to target your offers so that they are informative and useful, rather than a blatant marketing ploy (which most people see through from the get-go).

You’ll experience these foolish gimmicks yourself once you begin to participate in social marketing. Social marketing is a tough playground to venture into, but if you plan out your strategy effectively, you will be light years ahead of your competition who elbow their way onto the social scene eager to spam their advertisements and blast their promotions to a mass audience of potential prospects who are lost in the noise, quickly deleting them from their user lists, blocking them from contact and avoiding them in the future.

O.K. I’m gonna be a little harsh in the next few words so be forewarned… DON’T BE A JERK and brow beat people about how great your network marketing opportunity is! You are ruining it for the rest of us.
